Our Story

The journey of Spice Village began with two immigrant brothers, Nasir and Suleman, who moved to London in the early 2000s. Suleman, the younger brother, worked as a chef in a South London eatery in Brixton, inspired by their mother’s authentic recipes. Driven by their dream of bringing the magical healing power of spices to the world, the brothers opened their very first 15-seater takeaway in Tooting in 2004. What started as a humble takeaway has now grown into a flourishing restaurant chain known for its award-winning food and excellent catering services.

At Spice Village, we believe every meal tells a story. Our culinary creations are inspired by the rich traditions and regional food cultures of Pakistan and India, with an emphasis on using fresh, high-quality ingredients and traditional cooking methods. The restaurant also actively supports initiatives that combat homelessness in the UK through the NoOneEatsAlone campaign, a food industry-led initiative aimed at ending rough sleeping.

Furthermore, Spice Village has partnered with One Million Meals, a non-profit campaign that provided one million nutritious meals to NHS workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. We continue to advocate for zero waste practices and support British farmers and suppliers to contribute to the UK economy.
